Ideas on how to steam a fish

Steamed fish is a very healthy diet. You do not add fat if you steam fish and you can choose from a fan or a bamboo steamer. Rolled fillets of plaice, sole and trout are good for steaming, because they stay moist and retain their shape perfectly. Halibut, salmon, cod and also do well in this easy recipe.
The steam fish, you need several inches of boiling water in a saucepan and add the craft of the top fit. Make sure it is not touching the water. Cover with tight-fitting lid and steam the fish until cooked.
How long does it take to steam fish?

Recipe for Chinese-style steamed Halibut
This recipe is enough for four people, and the combination of garlic, ginger, soy sauce and fresh vegetables served gives the fish a delicious and aromatic taste. Serve with boiled white rice.
Need:

    
* 4 halibut fillets (half pounds total weight)
    
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
    
* 2 slices of fresh chopped ginger
    
* * * 1 / 4 cup soy sauce
    
* 2 slices of fresh mushrooms
    
* 3 scallions, 3-inch lengths
    
* * * 1 / 8 cup water
    
6 * Napa cabbage leaves, cut into 4-inch pieces
    
* Sprigs fresh cilantro, for garnish
    
* Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
To:
Arrange half of onions in bottom of bowl boat and put half of Napa cabbage and mushrooms on top of it. Make a one-inch cut on both sides of halibut, allowing the flavors to add.
Place the fish on vegetables and then sprinkle the red pepper, garlic and ginger. Top with remaining vegetables, then drizzle the soy sauce and water over the top. Fill the steamer with an inch of boiling water. Place bowl in steamer steamer and cover it.
Steam the fish for 15-20 minutes, or until halibut flakes easily. Sprinkle with cilantro sprigs and serve.
