Did you know the fact that Blood worms are a high protein diet

Fish Food
Nutritive value
Blood worms are a high protein diet. Approximately 60 percent of their dry weight is protein. This compares with Tubifex worms. Fish fed live or frozen blood worms tend to grow rapidly. Blood worms are an excellent conditioning food for the preparation of fish for breeding.
Frozen blood worms
Frozen bloodworms are readily available and relatively cheap way to eat fish. It is easy to put on dry feed with frozen blood worms and fish usually love them.
Little Fish
I regularly feed the fish frozen bloodworms as little as 2 cm (less than one centimeter) long neon tetras and White Cloud Mountain minnows. They have no problem with eating food and grow rapidly.
Problem
Although I never had a problem with blood worms myself, it is only reasonable to make some of the other person.
The disadvantage
A boy lost bloodworms feeding fish that are thawed and allowed to warm up, he was well aware of how to care for frozen products. But he did not know until then what happened in previous mosquito larvae. This is not something confined to red mosquito larvae, but applies to all frozen food if the Fed to humans or animals. Frozen foods must be kept frozen until just prior to use, and should not be refrozen.
About Nutrition
Again the problem is not limited to red mosquito larvae, but it is possible to overfeed with most types of food. Because fish, as many red mosquito larvae, sometimes people give them too much and dangerous to reduce water quality. In connection with the use of bloodworms as almost the only food, rather than as part of a varied diet.
Nutritive value
While blood worms are a good meal, they are not the only food fed. Fish and most animals need a variety of foods. Just like I do not recommend the fish just flakes to be fed blood worms do not indicate that the only food fed. Turtles are often fed with red mosquito larvae, they love it. But blood worms are fairly low in calcium and other nutrients are given to your turtle.
Insoluble Components
Dr. Jim Greenwood B.V.Sc. Canterbury of Canterbury Veterinary Clinic, Victoria has suggested that the larger type, and sold frozen bloodworm import Discus should not be fed, rainbows and some tetras because chitinous portion of Blood worms can block their digestive system. Other people have followed the problem is probably the same reason. I fed bloodworms to all kinds of fish he called the importation and there is no problem, but apparently Dr. Greenwood and some other people. Perhaps the people who do this kind of problems fueled by a greater proportion of blood worms and other less food for their fish than me.
Unsanitary conditions
In some countries where blood worms are made for export, the water in which they live is very unhealthy, and some people believe that frozen blood worms are not safe. All import Australian bloodworms sterilized by gamma radiation. I assume that countries like the United States is also an effective method of sterilization used.
Allergies
It is possible for people with allergies to many things. Allergies frozen bloodworms are not common, but can certainly happen.
